Ramblings of a Belgian

In the last week I have rewatched Beast Wars, the ‘sequel’ to the G1 series. And man, even after all these years it still touched me. I’m not a hardcore Transformers fan but when I was little I grew up with the cartoon and later the Beast Wars was right there when I was 10-11. Maybe a bit young to get everything in the show I now realise. The many little winks to the older audience… Bearings of chrome steel indeed. That line actually made me think of Duke Nukem when I heard it on the show or how nostalgia meets at unexpected times!

Now I only need to decide whether or not I’ll go onto Beast Machines, the actual sequal to Wars. Can’t overdo these nostalgia trips because the longer it keeps on the more you start to notice minor points which in modern productions would annoy you but the nostalgia filter makes it bareable, for a while at least.

Anyways, enough of that for now. I actually got something to type about Swedish beers I tried, pictures and all, but that’ll be for another time.
